Now the few of you that have been following my journey through documentary film-making may know that I’ve had a difficult time getting a grasp on my “legacy” project" concept. Recently I made the decision to adjust the direction of The Legacy Project and I’m really excited about what it’s turning into. I brought on two very good friends to join this project and I renamed it The Legacy Food Project. Kat Knight and Margaret J Finch have joined the team as creators and writers and the project has taken on a new and exciting life.

The vision for The Legacy Food Project is to be a cookbook, documentary series, and blog following the recipes passed down through generations. For all of us food has been an incredible part of our lives. Cooking is something that has always brought our families together and whether it’s everyone gathering around the table for a thanksgiving meal or all of the siblings preparing a Sunday brunch, there is something special about coming together around the common goal of making good food.

We are all incredibly excited about this project and theplaces it will take us. Kat will be spearheading our test kitchen making sure that all of the recipes are accurate as well as curating and contributing additional recipes to fill out the book. Margaret Finch will be joining the team on the production and post-production side of the documentary and I will continue in my role as director, coordinator and whatever else I need to do to make everything work.

We have started collecting contacts and recipes and we will be releasing each of the stories as we go. The final goal is to create a bound book with an accompanying film documenting the people behind the food. So stay tuned for our first installment of The Legacy Food Project. This Christmas may bring some new content you won’t want to miss.
